Choosing not to accept these taxpayer funds was not an easy decision. I remain committed to fundamental campaign finance reform, and as president I will work to fix this broken system.

Students for Barack Obama, the student wing of Obama for America, is pleased to announce state and chapter leadership opportunities for high school, college, and graduate students.
*State Leadership Opportunities:
We are currently seeking qualified students to join the state leadership teams in the following states:
AK, AZ, AR, CO, CT, HI, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, ME, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WY
State leaders will work with Obama for America staff members and with other students to develop and execute programs aimed at registering voters, mobilizing students to become involved in the campaign, and ensuring that students vote on election day.
In order to be eligible to apply, you must have plans to be a student in the state for which you are applying through November. You must be able to devote at least 10-20 hours per week to the campaign between now and November (note that the time commitment over the summer may be somewhat lower and that the commitment will increase as Election Day nears).
